12.08.2015 Q&A/Stream

Not much for today lads and lasses:

-It's possible that in not so distant future another German tier 8 premium medium tank will appear (another Leopard prototype).

And to not spam more the blog (more than enough posts for today)...

I will be streaming some World of Tanks in the next couple hours: http://www.twitch.tv/ritagamer2
Today I will be doing Tank Requests or Viewer Platoon depending how things go.

As usual EU/NA/RU and 193 Tanks!

Engage!

Armored Warfare: Get your arse in EA4!

Hello Warriors,

the phase 4 of the Armored Warfare Early Access is ready for download.

Patch size: 10,31 GB

The servers will be live between August 13th - August 30th.

  Notes:
  • Please make sure to have enough free space on your drive as the game usually requires around 20 GB of space by itself
  • The installation process can take quite a long time due to the size of the game, depending on the speed of the PC drive

And here is the "Achtung!" I warned about earlier, tomorrow will be livestreaming AW from 6pm until 11pm CET: http://www.twitch.tv/ritagamer2
As I promised a couple days ago, I will be unlocking and playing with as much tanks as possible (AW lads were very kind to boost me with XP and Credits), showing this patch main changes (specially the support Artillery) and gonna make sure to drop codes casually.

Armored Warfare: Begleitpanzer 57 and Producer Letter

Hello Warriors,

I'm catching up on lost time, last week was very stressful and erratic for me (Grandpa had better days). Today been reading all the articles that I've missed from Armored Warfare and this one is really good and deserves to be posted, its about the Begleitpanzer 57: http://aw.my.com/us/news/general/vehicles-focus-begleitpanzer-57

And also worth of taking a look, this Producer letter: http://aw.my.com/us/news/general/producer-letter-moving-forward-0

Wargaming you such a teaser!

Hello Warriors,

Thank you everyone that emailed me this, Wargaming is playing the tease game with their anniversary garage:

But before you start "derpdreaming", Sturmtiger WONT come to random battles.
It was modelled yes but if it comes to the game will be in the form of a special mode event (like the Karl 8-bit).

Wonder whats being melted in the bottom?

Armored Warfare: T-80

Hello Warriors,

I swear to Narnia sometimes I'm so crap... miss-clicked Post instead of Save (as draft) after one of my cats jumped on my legs with her claws hence the "very short" article! Anyways...

Armored Warfare has a new tank in focus, the T-80, you can read about its history and how it got applied in-game here: http://aw.my.com/us/news/general/vehicles-focus-t-80

Will be posting some more info about Armored Warfare today, keep your "Achtung!" radar on as I have something to announce along. :)

Armored Warfare: Update (0.7.1298)

Hello Warriors,

these are the patchnotes for the latest update (0.7.1298):

  •     M1A1 - armor adjustments including improved turret armor, removal of weak front armor, upgraded lower glacis, and removal of some incorrect elements.
  •     Fixed PvE player strength calculations for all vehicles, ensuring that the enemy encounter system views all tanks at their appropriate tier, this helps ensure that the intended tiers of enemies spawn.
  •     Autocannon Accuracy Improvements: With the recent changes to the spotting system, penetration falloff over distance, and autocannon HE round minimum damage values, we've found that autocannon damage dealing capabilities aren't as reliable as we'd like them to be. To improve this, we've increased the accuracy of all autocannons, especially smaller caliber autocannons. This should help players effectively target and hit weak points on enemy vehicles - especially at close to medium engagement ranges.
  •     Bug fix for shooter (upon being spotted by the new "render the person shooting at you" system) to continue to be rendered indefinitely.
  •     Ammo Cost Reductions: At Tiers 7 and 8, upgraded ammo costs were vastly higher than standard rounds. As a result, players using upgraded ammo could end up losing a significant amount of currency per match even if they performed well. To correct this, we've significantly decreased the cost of upgraded ammunition at Tiers 7 and 8.
  •     PvE Reward Tuning: We've done some additional tuning for PvE credit rewards. Mission completion is still the primary means of gaining credits for PvE, but the reward ratio in previous builds was encouraging players to skip objectives and try to finish matches as quickly as possible. We've slightly decreased the reward for mission completion and increased all other rewards. This should result in a slight overall increase in PvE gains for players who complete both the secondary objectives and primary objectives (due to the increase in other rewards), but slightly lower rewards if players skip the secondary objectives and go straight to the primary objective. Reputation rewards are unchanged.
  •     Fix for illumination shells detonating past their target location.
  •     Fix for matchmaker crash situations
  •     Fix for the turret being stuck in one direction for a match.
  •     The FV438 Swingfire now has a two missile salvo before reloading. Individual missile damage decreased by about 25%. Salvo reload time increased to 16 seconds.

WoT's SuperPershing Review

Hello Warriors,

I was a bit reluctant to share this video on the blog from the WoT RU youtube channel, its a review of the SuperPershing:

Made me cringe the way they are trying to sell a tank as being so good when is one of the easiest to subdue in this game. Also, the part of the penetration (6:30min), for me, a Premium tank is primarily something to earn extra credits with, I never complained before that WG is trying to promote premium shell usage before as I don't deem it to be such a big of a issue, but on a premium tank... really? A premium tank that requires premium shell usage to be of any use is not a good investment.

"Who uses APCR with a BL-10 though?"-3:13min
- You would be surprised...

a video with Type 4 gameplay appeared - naturally in Russian but that's how it is. It is a massive beast that will appear in patch 0.9.10 - just... the speed really doesn't look all that good.

T-44-100 tier 8 Soviet premium MT

Hello warriors,

this is the upcoming tier 8 Soviet premium premium MT, T-34-100. It's one of the T-44 models with 100mm gun (LB-1) and side skirts, not much else to it. Mostly a clone - after all, this game needs more Soviet clone premiums.

Description:

This Soviet experimental tank was built in 1945 based on the T-44 tank. It differed from the mass-produced T-44 by the fact it had a LB-1 gun installed in a newly designed turret as well as by the anti-HEAT spaced armor on the sides of the vehicle. Two prototypes were built in total.

Tier: 8 MT
Hitpoints: 1350
Engine: 520 hp
Weight: 33,5 tons
Power-to-weight: 15,52 hp/t
Maximum speed: 52/20 km/h
Hull traverse: 50,1 deg/s
Turret traverse: 44 deg/s
Terrain resistance: 0,863/1,055/1,822
Viewrange: 380
Radio range: 730

43M Toldi III, German tier 3 premium

Hello warriors,

this is the upcoming tier 3 German premium (well, Hungarian), Toldi III. With this tank appearing as a premium, it's very much clear that independent Hungarian branch will never happen. There is a very high chance this is the New Year gift tank.

You can read about its history here if interested.

Description:

This is a modification of the 38M Toldi I light tank, named after the Hungarian knight Miklos Toldi. It's different from the previous versions by its improved armor and increased ammunition load. Around 12 vehicles of this type were built in WW2.
